The chained monkey

He speaks evil, hears evil, and evil he will do.

He threw up what he couldn’t chew, chained to a picture framed by you.

Mistaken the gem as drops of dew; what he thought turned untrue.

He swims forever in an abyss of goo, stuck within a frame built for you.

Paint a picture, inspired by you, everything wrong in your favourite hue.

“What you do is chained to you!”

Monkey sees and monkey do, climbing his way up fake gold and piles of poo.

I find the stuff that comes out of my mind in a flash is usually best on the 3rd or 4th edit…😘
